SECURED for KOSHER

In order to safeguard the SuperKosher BP from troublemakers who seek to steal or harm them and our project, they are bred and maintained in secret locations by livestock producers who are sworn to secrecy.

Furthermore, extreme measures are taken in order to guarantee that all SuperKosher BP are pure bred BP. If the genetics are not pure, meaning, if a BP breeds with an ordinary beast, the product of that union is not a BP neither can it be Shechted [ritually slaughtered] to be made Kosher.

Notwithstanding such risks, our Sages did not impose any restrictions upon maintaining mature BP beasts nor upon breeding herds of BP.

Furthermore, our Poskim document that the Gaonim, Rav Sherirah and Rav Hai, bred and maintained herds of BP. They took these live BP to public functions such as weddings, where they processed them and had them cooked and served to the guests. HaRav Chaim Kanievsky, in response to my quey, explained that the Gaonim wanted to promote the laws of BP.

SuperKosher BP maintains a number of precautions to prevent hybrid BP.

• as males approach maturity they are evaluated

• a few are selected for breeding

• they are maintained in a secure location

• their semen is collected and frozen

• after a couple of days they are neutered

• males excluded from the initial selection are immediately neutered

• each newborn is DNA tested to verify its BP integrity and purity

• newborns that fail this test are immediately put down

• cows and ewes are kept within regularly inspected, well maintained, electrified fences
